Am looking at the HILDA data and questionnaires and in awe of anyone who decided to do a 500 page survey voluntarily. Now that everyone's in lockdown, this is the perfect time to get people to do surveys and farm data for use by benevolent researchers like me!
Am also bracing myself for a privacy backlash against the new government app for contact tracing. People are raising privacy concerns but it's not even compulsory anyway! (I secretly wish it was). I guess society chooses to trust Facebook or Apple or Google more than it's own government and I suppose in some countries, in some contexts, it may be warranted but honestly. Ya know what they say, if it's free, you're the product.
